So, I realized that a lot of what I have planned doesn't fit so well in the forum post format. I'm going back to the documents being the google docs, and the forum being for feedback.
You can find the forum here: http://www.ladylunasplace.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=21
You can view the documents here: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B05gdpQEXO1BYmQtQlg2cWRWaGM&usp=sharing
I tested the link, please let me know if it stops working again. I added some bits to the rules, changed up the magic rules, and fixed a few places where I'd referenced things which are no longer part of the rules. I have to fix the prices on items (1 US Dollar = 1 Copper Coin, unless it comes out to more than what I already have down), and add in modern-day items, but with the workings being magic. So, walkie talkies having air sprites inside them, or something. I'll work it out. Eventually.
Feedback is greatly appreciated!

Updates- skills set
So, my partner pointed out that what I had as intelligence seemed more like wisdom. We looked it up, and wisdom definitely fits better, intelligence being too much of an umbrella term.
That fixed, I went ahead and finished relating attributes to skills. I still need to do the whole skill bonus thing, (kinda like skill affinities or cross training benefits), but that'll be for another day.

Name for the Game
Kalistari is technically the name of the world I envision for this roleplaying game. However, since I leave it up to each GM to build their own world, I actually do need a name for the game itself.
The best I can come up with is "Fantasy Adventures". I haven't searched it yet to see if it's taken, and I don't know if there's a better one out there somewhere. So, gentlemen, if you were creating a high-fantasy roleplaying game, what would you call it?

The call for help
Hey guys!
I've gotten everything I've done on the game up so far. Check it out in my google docs folder:
https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0b05gdpqexo1bymqtqlg2cwrwagm/edit
Here's what I need help with:
-spells (the actual spells and their descriptions)
-races (suggestions for the races, or build your own according to the rules I will post shortly)
-mental powers (the actual mental powers and their descriptions)
-suggestions for how the ki powers should work
-any suggestions on tweaking the rules already in place to make it more realistic and/or more playable
I will try to put everything you need to help with the first three in pages on here. Of course, if no one does help with these things, I will get around to them eventaully. My current project, though, is dealing with item lists and costs, followed by weapon and armor stats, so it will take awhile. I'll probably dabble in these other things a bit here and there to give me a break in the "how much should this cost?", "how much damage should this do?" "how the fuck should armor work in my game?"

Welcome
Welcome to the world of Kalistari! I am in the process of making a roleplaying game. The point of this system is to break away from the class system that most other roleplaying games use, while taking some of the features of Anima: Beyond Fantasy and Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 that I enjoyed the best. The creation points system allows for the building of new races, (always with approval from the GM), and the feats allow for special abilities that grow as the character levels, along with some that are just one-shot.
I am still working on creating lists of everything, and I don't quite know how I'm going to order the ki system in my game yet. But, most of the rest of the rules are laid down. So I'm putting them out to the public for suggestions. Most all the important information is in the google documents folder (more on that a little later)
Since my work on this is very sporadic (I started this project a year ago, worked on it furiously for a month or two, then let it be again until a couple months ago...), I will also post if I've done another round of updates, as well as when I've gotten everything done so far uploaded this first time.
In the sidebar will be a link to my google docs folder on the subject. It's set up so that you can view it just by searching, but only I can edit. This is to prevent trolls from messing with the work. If you have suggestions for this project, please either post them in a comment here, or email them to evematteo@gmail.com (they end up in the same place either way). If you send by email, I will make a post about your suggestion- please let me know if you want credit or not. I will err on the side of caution and not put a name if it's not stated, because I want to allow people to maintain anonymity.
I intend this game system to be open source. I do not intend to make any money off this game system. I do not wish to find someone else selling my game system, because the entire point of this project is to give geeks who are low on cash a way to have fun legally. If you would like to make a donation, I ask that you send an amazon gift card to the email address listed above.
Thank you all for any help you give, or even for your interest in this game. :)
